How to add a task?

Find our practical guide to adding a task in a few simple steps.

Step 1: Access the Contacts Section 

Once logged into the Centiva CRM application, you will be directed to the dashboard. In the left-hand menu, navigate to the contacts page by clicking on "Contacts".

Step 2: Navigate to the "Tasks" Tab

On the client details page, locate the "Tasks" tab. Click on it to open the section where all tasks related to this client are displayed.

Step 3: Add a New Task 

At the top of the notes section, click on the "+ Add" button. 

Once in the task editor, fill in the required fields including: 

  1. Title: Give a descriptive name to your task. 
  2. Description: Add additional details or instructions if necessary. 
  3. Assign to: Select the team member responsible for this task, if applicable. 
  4. Due date: Specify the date by which the task needs to be completed. 

After filling in all necessary details, click the "Save" button.

Step 4: Verify and Manage Your Tasks 

  1. Verify the information: Once the task is saved, ensure it appears correctly in your task list. You can also review the details to ensure all information is correct. 

  2. Manage your tasks: 

    1. From your task list, you can take one or more grouped actions and can: 
        1. Filter by contact: Select the specific client's name to view tasks related to that person. 
        2. Filter by user: Select the specific user's name to view tasks assigned to that person. 
        3. Filter by status: Select the appropriate filter to display pending tasks and completed tasks. 
        4. Filter by due date or date added 
        5. Update a task 
        6. Delete a task 
        7. Mark a task as complete
